110KV,220KV,and 330KV are the major voltage classes of the power supply system,and their neutral points are generally directly grounded;for the configuration of replay protection and prevention of communication interference,and also for the purpose to limit the single phase short circuit current,neutral points of some of the transformers are not grounded.Under such operation mode,lightening stroke or single phase grounding fault may cause overvolatge of the neutral point,and considering that most transformers are of graded insulation type,therefore,overvolatge seriously threatens the insulation of the neutral point and protection device must be provided to prevent the occurrence of accident.
